In 2019, Adrian and Chelsea started Magnolia’s Landscape & Design in Lexington, Kentucky.

Adrian handled the landscaping and installations. Chelsea handled the design. And while the business grew, so did her ideas for what Magnolia could become.

Chelsea grew up near the coast in California, where sunshine, flowers, and little roadside flower stands were simply part of everyday life. She always loved the charm of being able to stop somewhere beautiful and leave with a bundle of fresh flowers in your hands.

In 2024, that memory turned into one of Chelsea’s ideas.

She decided to build a flower stand of her own, only with a Kentucky twist. Adrian, as usual, said, “Let’s do it.”

So Chelsea bought an old 1980s horse trailer.

For a while, the idea sat there. The excitement faded, life got busy, and the rusty little trailer looked a whole lot more like a project than a dream.

Then Adrian pushed her to finish what she had started.

Chelsea sketched out what she wanted it to become. Adrian gathered a few friends, some power tools, and an unreasonable amount of Rust-Oleum.

Together, they turned that old horse trailer into The Sweeter Magnolia Flower Trailer.

But the trailer was only the beginning.

What started as a love for flowers grew into something much bigger: a design brand centered around creating beautiful spaces and memorable experiences, from gardens and outdoor living spaces to events, hospitality properties, and everything in between.

The Sweeter Magnolia is the creative side of the Magnolia story.
